••OUR BILLS ::: NEWS ::: CALL TO ACTION•• Our philosophical vaccine waiver bills were officially dropped in both the house (by Rep. Angela Cockerham) and the senate (by Senator Chris McDaniel) today. •PLEASE NOTE::: WE ONLY HAVE UNTIL FEBRUARY 4TH to convince Senator Dean Kirby + Senator Terry Burton and Representative Sam Mims to bring our bill up in their respective committee. (if the bills are assigned to another committee…health possibly then we will add to the above list; we should know this by the end of this week) I am going to be bold and let you all know there is no time to hope these guys read emails; they need phone calls & lots of them. They need to hear from their constituents especially!! •SAM MIMS: (represents: Adams, Amite, Franklin, Lawrence, Pike, Walthall) Capitol Room: 104-B home: 601.684.0281 capital: 601.359.3320 (secretary is Tammy; calling her by name is empowering. she is not for our fight…please let Sam know if she is anything less than kind and helpful.) •TERRY BURTON: (represents: Lauderdale, Newton, Scott counties) Capitol Room: 215 B home: (601)683-7050 capital: (601) 359-3234 •DEAN KIRBY: (represents: Rankin county) Capitol Room: 212 D home: (601) 932-1966 capital: (601) 359-3234 EVERYONE should contact theses 3 men beginning now. THOSE PEOPLE in the counties they represent need to speak to them *face to face* if at all possible, but certainly by phone-being sure to let them know you are their constituent!! Wednesday at our rally is a great opportunity for this, but you can go to the capital anytime and ask to see them!! Talking points are in the files section of our group, but it can be as simple as, I, as a parent want options regarding vaccines. 48 other, healthier states give parents the right to choose, it is time for Mississippi to step out of the dark ages. --more or less; you get the idea…you, as a parent want and deserve this fundamental right! -lm
