Thursdays tip of the day! Who said this wasnt a real business? Signing up as an It Works distributor means you now are the CEO of your own business. If you treat it like a business you will make CEO money...If you treat it like a hobby.... well then, youll make hobby money! Its up to you to decide! Here are a few tips for those of you not messing around! First, now that you own your own business you have to develop the right mind set. Most of you have probably not owned your own business before. With that being said your going to have to stop waiting around for someone to tell you what you should be doing. No bosses here...you are your own boss which means that you have to wake up every day and tell yourself what to do. No one is going to make you watch the videos, read books, learn your craft, tell people about your business....etc. you have to take it upon yourself to learn, grow, and get to know all the ins and outs! Second, being an it works distributor means your in business FOR yourself but not BY yourself! Even though no one can make you do the things you need to do to make a successful business the beauty off being in It Works vs. A traditional business owner is you have a team of people already there to help, support, and guide you in the right direction. It is up to you to reach up and out to utilize them! No one is going to track you down because that is not their job! Its your job to plug into people and the resources that corporate gives you! Your upline may have a ton of other team members below them! They are not psychic and automatically know that you have questions or need help....so put your big boy/girl panties on and ask for help! Third, Set goals! A person that wants to be successful has goals and dreams...they have vision! Did you make your dream board? Did you write down your 30 day business and personal goal? What about your 3 month and 6 month goals? Where do you want to be long term by year 5? If you do know where you want to go how in the world are you planning to get there. Writing out those goals is like a road map to success! Make sure the goals you choose are attainable but yet just enough out of reach that you are challenging yourself! Driven people love to push themselves past their limits! Fourth, Let the past GO! If you are holding onto your past failures it will hinder your ability to succeed here! Forget about the people that told you that you couldnt do anything with your life! Forget about the 10 jobs that you have gone through because you have never stuck with anything before! Forget about the 20 times you have changed your mind about where you want to be in life! Forget about all the inconsistencies!! Today is a New DAY!!! You have found your true passion and Nothing and No One is going to stop you this time...Not even yourself!!! Lastly, BYOB...build your own business! It is not your uplines job to make your business a success...that would be your job. An uplines role is one of mentoring and supporting! If you came in expecting someone to give you customers and give you distributors you will never be successful in the end. There is nothing more rewarding then to say you built your very own business without someone giving it to you. If you work your business hard there may come a time when your upline decides to place someone with you...but I can promise that will only happen if your dedicated and working! I speak for many leaders when I say I would never help build someone that is not all in 100%!
