OUR LOYALTY TO THE PDP SHOULD GUARANTEE GUBER TICKET IN 2015! The Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State is being perceived as minority when it comes to political permutations and resources sharing. This situation has been magnified beyond reasonable level as such a criterion has been used among other things to exclude the district from producing a Governor since the creation of our dear State in 1976. Without mincing words, the Ogun State population as at the last head count puts our population approximately as thus: Ogun East (IJEBU)- 1.3 million people, Ogun Central (EGBA)- 1.2 million people and Ogun West (YEWA)- 1.1 million people! At this juncture, the pertinent question to ask is; is the difference in these figures make any of the districts a minority? We are NOT minority as being exaggerated by the political class in order to exclude us from equitable distribution of Ogun States wealth. Now, the true picture about the composition of the population lies majorly in the number of higher institutions present in each of the districts as a significant number of the students of these schools stay back and are counted as part of the districts where they school possibly to avoid some levels of stress. Ogun East hosts more than 10 higher institutions including private ones with OOU and TASUED having explosive populations. Apart from being the State Capital where all Ministeries and staff domicile, Ogun Central equally hosts more than 10 higher institutions with MAPOLY having the largest population in the district. Coming to Ogun West, we have the least number of higher institutions with none significantly populated. This factor alone is a source of strength to the two districts politically and economically but the truth is that if we remove this variable, Ogun West is the majority in this State, I am BOLD to say this anywhere! Now that this has been cleared, why should Ogun West be denied the governorship ticket again in 2015 when we have ALL our best in the same party with none being a pretender showing our collective loyalty to the PDP. The scenario playing out right now has been used as excuse in the past by political leaders as a reason for not picking a governor from Ogun West. No Senatorial District is as loyal to the PDP as Ogun West today considering the level of candidates aspiration. Ogun West is the only district where ALL our Governorship aspirants are in the PDP and the ruling APC has no space here due to Amosuns total neglect of our people. The Ijebus are showing understanding with us but we can only say thank you after the ceremony. This is confirmed by the leadership roles of Prince Kashamu Buruji and Otunba Gbenga Daniel in the struggle. We appreciate the duo in ensuring one of us emerges as the governor. With the low ebb of PDP in Egba due to the incubent over concentration of projects there, the PDP does not have a brighter chance if she picks her Governorship candidate from there. Thus, the Ogun West loyalty must be compensated by choosing the most marketable candidate from Ogun West while taking care of those not picked accordingly. As it stands today, the most credible and marketable candidates from Ogun West today remains the man who ran the race in 2011, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (FCA). To make the job easier, other candidates like Senate, Rep members and State Assembly members must be picked based on popularity and competence as our people are prepared to dare the partys popularity should misfits are picked as candidates. Let the PDP act on the judgment of the the masses and win convingcingly in 2015.................Ogun West is more than ready for 2015!
