OUR MEETING THIS WEEK The next meeting of the Twin City Kiwanis Club will be on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at noon at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, 251 North Spruce Street, in downtown Winston-Salem. Our speaker will be Richard Cassidy, sponsored by Jack Van Zandt. According to his LinkedIn page, Cassidy is an independent, nonprofit, outreach professional, associated with Wake Forest University Interfaith; the AIDS Care Service Inc.; and Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. Mark your calendars now and make plans to attend this meeting. It is the first in a series of weekly programs on the topic of homeless issues in Winston-Salem. SELL, SELL, SELL THOSE PANCAKE TICKETS AND PLACEMAT ADS! At last weeks meeting, TCK Club members received their supply of 2015 Pancake Jamboree tickets to sell and event fliers. All members are encouraged to get busy selling tickets and ads to as many people as possible. If you need tickets, pick them up at the meeting this week, or contact Walt Kinsey at [email protected] Also, if you have not yet signed up to work at the event, please do so ASAP. Work schedules will be located on the tables at the next meeting. The Pancake Jamboree will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem. BOARD MEETING SCHEDULED FOR JAN. 21 The next meeting of the TCK Club Board will be on Wednesday, Jan. 21, immediately following the lunch meeting in the same room. All members are invited to board meetings. Your volunteer efforts most definitely outshine all others. You raised $4,361.36 with the addition of a stock gift certificate to come. Thank you for being such a blessing.
