OUR NAMES! In most primary/secondary schools, at the beginning of the first term, the names of all students, both new and old are registered in a book. In the course of the term, as each student pays his/her school fees, the name is registered in a different book. When it gets to the middle of the term, after sending reminders to the parents of a ward who is still defaulting in payment; he/she is sent out of the school due to the inability to pay! Why? Because his/her name is not found in the payment book! This means though many students will be welcomed into the school on resumption, but ONLY those who are able to pay their school fees(condition) will be allowed to remain in the school till the end of the term! Partaking in church activities, being a youth leader, a chorister, an usher, etc; alone cannot qualify our names to be written in the Lambs book of life! What qualifies our names to be written therein is: Practical life of Holiness within and without!!! Many only have their names registered as christians in the book of religion, because they are not living according to Gods standards! So many allow activities to take over their personal relationship with God; so many also concentrate on making only their outside clean while the inside is filthy; abhorring bitterness, hatred, unforgiveness, lies, lust etc. Revelation 21:27 says: And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lambs book of life. My dear brothers/sisters, its high time we stopped playing religion and stop all these hypocritical lifestyle! Let us prayerfully ask God to uproot any thing that can prevent our names from being in the Book of life. Maybe we have even been nicknamed, Pastors, Mummy G.O, Evangelists, etc; but deep down in our hearts, we know the inward sin we are still battling with; It will be wise of us, not to be carried away by titles or praise of men, but cry out to God now, let Him search us and help us deal with that inward sin now! A great day of final separation is coming when the saints shall be separated from the sinners. The Lambs Book of life will reveal everyones real state on that day; but then, there will be no opportunity to make things right! Revelation 20:15: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. #Singing# Lord,.....I would make sure of Heaven, I would enter the fold; In the book of Thy kingdom, with its pages so fair, Tell me, Jesus, my Saviour, is my name written there? Chorus: Is my name written there, On the page white and fair? In the book of Thy kingdom, Is my name written there? Esther Cares but GOD CARES MORE!
