"OUR OPEN WINDOW..." READ: DANIEL 6: 1- 10 DANIEL HAD BEEN - TopicsExpress

"OUR OPEN WINDOW..." READ: DANIEL 6: 1- 10 DANIEL HAD BEEN placed over a part of the kingdom as a Prince. He was godly, righteous, and well respected. Verse 3 tells us that he was "preferred". His life was one of consistency. As the world scrutinized him they could find only one fault. That fault was his testimony, for he lived for God. As you have already read, the plan was to destroy him by taking away his religion. The King and the others stated that no man could pray to God for a period of 30 days. However, Daniel did as "he did aforetime." There was no silent witness on his part. There also was no great charismatic show or display. He simply did what he had always done. He prayed to God. Quite honestly, he did not change his lifestyle to fit the circumstances of the day. He remained steadfast. (1 Cor 15: 58). He did not go along with the accepted norm. Think about that, child of God. Do the things that you would not think about doing 20 years ago because it was worldly come into your lifestyle today? Does our heart hurt because of the illicit material taught in our public schools? Do you accept gambling as a way of financing your State budget? Do you purchase lottery tickets? In a nation that will not allow a fiftyh grader to receive a Gideon New Testament but will give him all the birth control he wants, do people see your lifestyle has not wavered? May our lives continue to be an open window in which God is glorified as they witness our walk with Christ, regardless of the lack of godly morals all around us.....God forbid we ever shirk away because of shame.... may we continue to shine as lights in a world of darkness.....
