OUR POSITION ON PRINCE JOHNSONS SINGLE CURRENCY BILL: The True Whig Party Liberia -USA, firstly finds it stunningly insensitive that the ANC ChatRoom chooses to focus on this issue of dual/single currency on April 12, 2014. Today we pay tribute to our fallen leaders, slaughtered by those who had no clue on how to run Liberia or how to better the condition of the Liberian people. If indeed, we are a nation of laws, then it is imperative that those responsible for murdering officials of government be condemned and brought to justice. Indeed, the hands of God and history, have already condemned their evil acts. By their fruits, the world has come to know them. APRIL 12, 2014, is 34 years since Liberia descended into hell. 34 years of going backwards while our neighbors and the world, moved ahead. 34 years of death and destruction 34 years of greed and deception 34 years of disunity and national shame. Today our country must finally acknowledge the WRONG. To move forward, it is necessary that we pay homage to those whose blood have been innocently spilled. This includes the over 250 thousand of our people murdered during the War of Greed and Deception. If there had been no April 12, 1980, there could never have been the ugly years of the Doe Dictatorship. There could never have been Quiwonkpa There could never have been beating and killing of University of Liberias students. There could never have been Charles Taylor, There could never have been the Nimba killings, There could never have been ECOMOG There could never have been Prince Johnson, There could never have been the spectacle of our Liberian women prostituting themselves just to survive, There could never have been the rape of our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters, There could never have been the torture of our elders. Tecumsey Roberts will still be here Johnny Nah would still be here There could never have been the Lutheran Church Massacre A Liberian ex-president would never have had to be jailed by the international community. So today we do not want to talk about DUAL OR SINGLE CURRENCY. Today we want to talk about ending the NATIONAL DENIAL . It is time that we SPEAK UP and STAND UP for all the victims of the last 34 years. For Gods sake, give our people their due. Do not defile their memory by giving prominence to PYJ, a war criminal . What is wrong with us? Really! Do we really believe that by honoring killers, we move our nation forward? First things first! HONOR OUR DEAD TODAY!
