SUBTOPIC: BE DISOBEDIENT & YOULL BE DEVOURED BY THE SWORD OF THE LORD! Isaiah 1:10-20 The Message (MSG) 10 “Listen to my Message, you Sodom-schooled leaders. Receive God’s revelation, you Gomorrah-schooled people. 11-12 “Why this frenzy of sacrifices?” God’s asking. “Don’t you think I’ve had my fill of burnt sacrifices, rams and plump grain-fed calves? Don’t you think I’ve had my fill of blood from bulls, lambs, and goats? When you come before me, whoever gave you the idea of acting like this, Running here and there, doing this and that— all this sheer commotion in the place provided for worship? 13-17 “Quit your worship charades. I can’t stand your trivial religious games: Monthly conferences, weekly Sabbaths, special meetings— meetings, meetings, meetings—I can’t stand one more! Meetings for this, meetings for that. I hate them! You’ve worn me out! I’m sick of your religion, religion, religion, while you go right on sinning. When you put on your next prayer-performance, I’ll be looking the other way. No matter how long or loud or often you pray, I’ll not be listening. And do you know why? Because you’ve been tearing people to pieces, and your hands are bloody. Go home and wash up. Clean up your act. Sweep your lives clean of your evildoings so I don’t have to look at them any longer. Say no to wrong. Learn to do good. Work for justice. Help the down-and-out. Stand up for the homeless. Go to bat for the defenseless. Let’s Argue This Out 18-20 “Come. Sit down. Let’s argue this out.” This is God’s Message: “If your sins are blood-red, they’ll be snow-white. If they’re red like crimson, they’ll be like wool. If you’ll willingly obey, you’ll feast like kings. But if you’re willful and stubborn, you’ll die like dogs.” That’s right. God says so. Matthew 6:3-4; 5-7; 9-13; 16-18; 24; 33 King James Version (KJV) VERSES 3-4 3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. VERSES 5-7 5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. VERSES 9-13 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. VERSES 16-18 16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. VERSE 24 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. VERSE 33 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 1 Samuel 15:22 King James Version (KJV) 22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 The Message (MSG) 22-23 Then Samuel said, Do you think all God wants are sacrifices— empty rituals just for show? He wants you to listen to him! Plain listening is the thing, not staging a lavish religious production. Not doing what God tells you is far worse than fooling around in the occult. Getting self-important around God is far worse than making deals with your dead ancestors. Because you said No to God’s command, he says No to your kingship. THIS MESSAGE STARTS WITH ME, THE HEAD OF THIS INTERCESSORY MINISTRY & IT IS TO EVERYONE WHO HAD QUESTIONS CONCERNING OUR FASTING, PRAYING & GIVING! GOD HAS GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS & WE MUST OBEY THEM & RESPECT THE LEADER THROUGH WHICH GOD HAS SENT THEM! OUR OBEDIENCE TO GODS ORDER IS IMPERATIVE & IT WILL BRING US LIFE & BLESSINGS! AS YOU GIVE, PRAY & FAST ACCORDING TO THE WAY THAT GOD HAS SPECIFIED IT THEN YOU WOULD NOT BE FASTING IN VAIN! FOLLOWING YOUR OWN WAY IS DISRESPECTFUL TO GOD & TO HIS SERVANT THROUGH WHOM HE GAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS! EVERYONE MUST BE ON ONE ACCORD WHEN YOU ARE FASTING & PRAYING & GIVING (SOWING A TANGIBLE SEED) CORPORATELY! THERE IS NO ROOM FOR ALLOWING THE DEVIL IN! IF YOU ARE FASTING CORRECTIVELY & IF YOU WENT IN WITH THE RIGHT MINDSET, YOU WILL NOT ALLOW YOUR FLESH TO CONTROL YOU & CAUSE YOU TO MISS YOUR GREAT MIRACLE! GOD IS DOING A NEW THING IN YOU BUT YOU CAN DELAY IT DRASTICALLY WITH ANY LEVEL OF DISOBEDIENCE! WE MUST BE UNIFIED TOGETHER AS ONE FOLLOWING THE LEADER OF THAT MINISTRY & NOT DOING OUR OWN THING BECAUSE IT MAY HAVE BECOME AN INCONVENIENCE TO YOU! GOD WANTS EVERYTHING DONE HIS WAY & NOT OURS! WHEN HE SPEAKS THROUGH HIS LEADERS TO HIS PEOPLE HE EXPECTS BOTH TO OBEY HIM! ANYONE WHO DOESNT IS OUT OF ORDER & IS NOT IN AGREEMENT WITH THE ORDER OF GOD! IF YOU DISRESPECT THE LEADER THEN YOURE DISRESPECTING GOD! IT SHOULD BE YOUR ENDEAVOR TO DO YOUR BEST TO COMPLY WITH GODS ORDER & NOT TO TRY TO CHANGE IT TO MEET YOUR NEEDS!
