OWNER REHOME ~ DEADLINE DECEMBER 31, 2014 FASTRAK FRANSISCA ~ REGISTERED~ Morgan Mare ~ With Owners Trainer in OR Cisca is 15, and I have owned her for 10 years. She is likely 15hh. She is from a breeder in Hermiston, OR and is registered #0148848. She is by Mortana Chet out of Pacific High Tide. Some of her breeding includes Senatefield, Merry Dexter, Orcland Royal Don, General Crook, Orcland Bold Fox, Redman..... I bought her from a woman in Union, OR who I believe was the person who broke her to ride. She had Cisca in mind for herself as a dressage horse but became pregnant and had to sell her. Cisca was a trail horse for me- I did almost no arena work. She has been at a barn where she has gotten training/tuning up since June. Cisca needs a very specific kind of rider. In general, she is a bit anxious and needs a calm, skilled, confident, experienced rider to encourage her to relax. She is very sensitive to the riders aids, and the trainer has done a great job of calming this down a bit. She has potential for dressage or western dressage, but it would take a lot of training and she is not a young horse anymore. The trainer says (and I agree) that Cisca likes communication with her rider. My sense is that she is so willing to do what you want that she gets anxious and even a little annoyed when communication is confusing to her, such as with a not-so-experienced rider. She is very level headed and on the trails she has been fine with dogs, traffic, trash cans, bicycles, etc. In general, she rarely spooks on the trail. Her personality: As far as I know, she has never been abused, but she takes a little while to trust new people. She is slightly wary of them. She seems to want to bond with a person, but just takes a while to decide that theyre o.k. I would say that she is aloof at first. She might move away after letting someone touch her and pet her for a short while, or move to the back of the stall if someone new comes in to clean or feed. I have had people who she doesnt know well say that she is hard to catch in a pasture, but she has not been a problem with people she knows. Once in a while she will appear to want to bolt away from you in the pasture, but she doesnt. In the pecking order she is about middle or bottom third. As far as I know she has never had a foal and I would rather that she not be bred unless an owner is going to keep riding her and not turn her into a brood mare, which is in our contract. Cisca is a beautiful mare with a lot left to give! Fee is negotiable to a good home as that is the primary concern. Cisca has been for sale on other sites for some time with no movement. We are hoping to gain her greater exposure. The sale is due to her current owner recently being hospitalized and the debt created by that. There is nothing wrong with Cisca. Price has been dropped but the owner would still like to recover something to help with her expenses. Currently Cisca is being boarded and being worked by her trainer once a week to remain in condition. This is a beautiful mare with plenty of opportunity at a very reasonable price! Help find Cisca a home before the deadline so she does not have to move to foster! Contact Colleen at colleen@morgansafenet for more information. ADOPTION FEE: $1000
