OXFORD – A 56-year-old man is facing a charge of failing to remain at the scene of a crash following an alleged hit and run in Oxford early Sunday. RCMP spokesman Cpl. Scott MacRae said the man turned himself into the Oxford RCMP later in the day after a 24-year-old Oxford area man was struck while walking in front of the detachment at about 2 a.m. Sunday. “He was walking in front of the detachment when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling north,” MacRae said. A post on the man’s Facebook page said he was taken to hospital in Truro and then transported to the QEII Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries including numerous broken bones.
