Oak Harbor Move to Amend Affiliate After a year of tabling and gathering signatures, a small group of activists in Oak Harbor, Washington have demonstrated to their elected officials that they will not stand for corporate personhood. The Island County Citizens Ignited, an MTA affiliate successfully passed a resolution in every one of their government jurisdictions. All of them specifically stated that corporations are not people and money is not speech. The text of the resolution can be found here. The Oak Harbor affiliate is confident that their success can be duplicated throughout the State using the techniques employed by them.
