Obama released the Talibans Dream Team from Guantanamo prison in exchange for the deserter Bergdahl. Besides setting a price tag on future American hostages (we didnt negotiate with terrorists up until now), even Obamas people had classed these Gitmo prisoners as the worst there. Meet the Taliban who have gone home: Khairullah Khairkhwa -- Minister of Interior in the Taliban govt overthrown in 2001. Was Talibans liaison to al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Noorullah Noori -- Senior Taliban military commander in northern Mazar-e Sharif province during the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. Was directly subordinate to Taliban supreme leader Mullah Mohammad Omar. Abdul Haq Wasiq -- Deputy Minister of Intelligence in the Taliban government. US described him as central to the Talibans efforts to form alliances with other Islamic fundamentalist groups to fight alongside the Taliban. Mohammed Fazi -- Former Deputy Defense Minister. The UN accused him of complicity in the murder of thousands of Shiite Muslim civilians during his tenure as Taliban army chief. Captured while fighting the Northern Alliance, the Afghan militia that fought with the US after the 9/11 attacks. Mohammed Nabi Omari -- Was involved in a joint al Qaeda-Taliban cell in Khost; was assessed to be a high risk and of high intelligence value by the US. These five prisoners were picked by the Taliban for exchange for Bergdahl, who abandoned his post during an early morning in 2009. A fair exchange? Not in my book.
