(Oberlins Hidden Secrets) I was taken to a place where people went to party late at night and I had no ideal this was going on here. The place was called (The Round House) and it had several other names but back in the day I remember an old man use to weld things for people in there this place was located behind the Elavator on Main Street but sat closer to Pleasant streets Railroad Tracks. Later after the Police ran us out of there several times a week it was torn down but thank goodness it was only Verda who caught us cant say how many times he let us go. The Party hang out changed locations after that and it was Vernando Valley the new hang out for kids who might be skipping school or just looking for a party during the day. Its amazing how many people knew about this place and I lived there all this time and never been there. The Hunters knew this place well and so did people who wanted a free christmas Tree because there were a lot of them here and you could see them removing the trees at that time of the year. Vernandos was beautiful in the summer and you could swim there as well located as you turn off Groveland onto Spring Street to your right back in the woods. I watch shows like Life with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence and Harlem nights and see the little hole in the wall party spots and cant help but to think about when I was young and tailing the older group to a place called The Lane Ill mention no names and will say only this Those Old Folks could Party The End
