Obituary: Robert E. Dees, 67, of Perry, died Monday, August 4, 2014 at his home in Perry. Robert was born April 3, 1947 in Perry, FL, to the late Joe and Hope (Malone) Dees. Robert was preceded in death by one sister Memorie Davis. He worked for Buckeye and Foley Land and Timber for 47 years. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved standing around the old campfire, where he enjoyed grilling and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson Tyler, taking him camping, fishing, and hunting. He would often be seen in the neighborhood driving his dog Lacy on his buggy. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Bonnie R. Dees of Perry; his son; James Ellis Dees of Perry and stepson; Kevin Clevenger of Ft. Lauderdale; step-daughter; Tiffany Akins and husband Ryan of Haines City; his sister Aquilla Schmidt and husband Walter of Perry; a brother Eugene Woodard and wife Tracy of White Springs; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Baugh and Kyndall Akins, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins also survive him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at First Assembly of God in Perry with Pastor David Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Carlton Cemetery in Perry. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home.
