Observations on Kosice so far: The hotel lift has manually opening doors, and you can open the windows in the room. My guess is good soviet era architecture. The town centre is full of ice cream, flower shops, weddings and fountains. And a giant cathedral with a gaudy dome. There are trams. The weather is perfect. Have not worked out how to get a cup of tea, but I did eventually find a supermarket so have fruit. Wifi is only available at reception. Have not slept for more than about an hour since Friday morning Melbourne time, i.e. about 45 hours. Will remedy that shortly.
