Observing 2nd "World Doctorates Day" on August 25, 2013 - Pledge and Programs Dear Doctorate Members The 2nd “World Doctorates Day” is scheduled to be observed on August 25, 2013. Like last year, we are again sending a Pledge to all the members with a request for adoption. Please circulate it to all your doctorate friends for adoption whether they are our group members or not. In addition, we as the member may consider to organize following events: 1. Organize formal or informal discussions amongst your friends and colleagues on any topic to improve the quality of teaching and research. 2. Arrange a colloquium, special seminar in your department/institution/universities and involve students also. 3. Plan a community program to convey that we the doctorates are committed for our social obligations. 4. If you are ready with research paper(s) for communication to a journal for publication, please try to do this on August 25th and communicate this news on our group. 5. Please publish news and events in media on the program that you have conducted on this day. Please organize any other innovative or novel programs on this auspicious day and share with us on the group. We request you to please share your ideas on how to celebrate this auspicious day in a most befitting way.
