Obviously my comments on the deductions fiasco has caused quite a stir. Let me be perfectly clear on this. The information I received was out of Chicago, not some rumor or speculation. I have strived for truth and do not speculate. The word is that the Empire has a system wide problem with regard to deductions. THE EXACT NATURE OF THE PROBLEM IS UNKNOWN AND INSPECIFIED AT THIS TIME. My information has been dispatched and discussed with the union, they were already gearing up to investigate. Some of us receiving the short term disability cannot figure for the life of us how checks go from $115.00 to $20 to $16.00. And...we are never provided with statements, instead they sit in a box for anyone to appropriate. As I said this was a source in Chicago, not idle lip service. For crying out load, we are on disability and are losing a ton of money to begin with. The deductions should be stable and the amounts received should be the same. Oh well, I have unlimited long distance, so first thing Monday, I will dig out the headset and get to dialing. In other news, the FMCR debacle has been opened again with reference to 392.3. I suggest you read it carefully, because YOU can run to problems proceeding after you call for relief. The regulation is specific and unchallenged; as an incapacitated operator you MUST stop, proceeding can get you in big trouble. It is clear that this regulation is in plain English. The company CANNOT asked you or demand you continue until relieved. Specifically, if you are ill, stop, call OCC and secure the bus, PERIOD. We have also discovered a reg that forbids cutting run time to such a point to force an operator to exceed traffic laws, like speeding to catch up. This may proved to be interesting particularly in conjunction with the 10-100 outrage. We all know sending a message that you are 6 minutes down results in an inquisition as to why you were late. Not enough time is not valid and worse yet is not considered when figuring run times. I suppose we will have to contact the US Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C. to get some answers. I am still trying to swallow the reply given to KPHO on the bathroom horror. Can you imagine the unmitigated brass gonads they have to state WE DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A PROBLEM. Most are still laughing their collective guts out. So far it is the biggest lie this year, competition Mr. President!!!!
