Ocean pollution is argued to be one of the world’s largest - TopicsExpress

Ocean pollution is argued to be one of the world’s largest animal welfare issues and is a sad example of one of the indirect ways in which humans contribute to animal suffering. Worldwide, we dump more than 15,000 pieces of plastic into the ocean everyday and more and more animals are suffering as our oceans continue to be exploited. Seabirds, whales, sea turtles and other marine life eat our plastic waste and die from choking, intestinal blockage and starvation. It’s our responsibility to recycle and reduce the amount of litter we produce so it doesn’t end up in the mouths or around the necks of ocean animals. Please give this video a watch and visit humanesociety.org/news/resources/tips/what_you_can_do_to_help_oceans.html for more simple ways to help! Together we can greatly reduce the suffering of ocean animals!
