October 22nd – President Obama told us yesterday that if you don’t have 8-10 hours to try to enroll at healthcare.gov, you can call instead. After a 1 to 2 hour wait, someone will answer and suggest you go back to the website. Huh? This bit of satire is from The Onion: ‘President Obama told reporters this morning: “I have heard the complaints about the existing website, and I can assure you that with this revised system, finding the right health care option for you and your family is as easy as loading 35 floppy disks sequentially into your disk drive and following the onscreen prompts.’” (below) Funny, but the reality is worse! Ontario, Canada officials contracted Canadian company CGI to create a healthcare registry for diabetics. Three years of foul-ups and missed deadlines forced these officials to ditch their $46.2 million contract. This is the company hired and paid hundreds of millions to create healthcare.gov! Talking about his “tech surge” Monday, O vowed now to hire “the best and the brightest.” Only O and his DC dolts would not have done this in the first place! P
