October 23, 2013 It is good that I have not had to write an update for almost two weeks. Ever since coming home from the hospital, Ava has just bounced right back to her normal self. I think Im a bit more conscious of when she acts tired, or maybe her head hurts. But so far, she has had no symptoms of whatever was going on at the beginning of the month. We had a clinic appointment last Wednesday. It seems our Duluth team has a bit of a different opinion about things than our Minneapolis team. In the cities, it seems they landed on a sodium drop causing Avas problems. Our doctors here seem to think it was more a migraine issue that could be reoccurring. Sigh. Nobody wants that, so I hope they are wrong. But the fact of the matter is that nobody knows and nobody will know unless it happens again. We also found out that Ava wont have to have another MRI for 6 months. Yahoo! However, the neurologist did point out that any time Ava has any issue, she gets scanned anyway so why schedule them every three months when shes doing fine, but would get scanned no matter what if something came up. True. Im just happy to not have to think about another MRI for 6 months. She will, however, keep her port for another 6 months. Boo. This means another 6 months of getting a push for a port flush every 30 days. Not looking forward to that. Nobody likes port flush days. And so life has settled again. Ava is doing well. Please pray she does not experience whatever happened a few weeks ago on a regular basis! PS: We found out this week we are having another baby BOY! Avas Obed seems to be on his way. If you want to read a bit more about that, heres the link to our blog followmeandsee.wordpress/2013/10/23/and-then-there-was-one-more/
