October 5, 1942, During WW II, Josef Stalin goes on Radio Moscow and told the Soviet people that Stalingrad must never surrender and the 90% of the city captured by the Nazis must be taken back. His words worked. Flash forward to February, 1943, the German 6th Army, the same victorious army that had marched down the Champ de Elliose in Paris in 1940, surrendered to the victorious Soviets. 95,000 prisoners left out of an army of 250,000. Only 6,000 survived to return to Germany after the War. Stalingrad was the turning point of WW II in Europe.
