October 6th- Firm Foundations: Worship Scripture reference for this lesson is Psalm 100. Our memory verse for the week is Psalm 100:2. After reviewing our previous Firm Foundation lessons on prayer and the Bible, we began to focus on worship. What is worship? Is it just singing or is it something different? The Bible is full of examples of worship and praise to God. We read Psalm 100 and specifically focused on Psalm 100:2 which says: Worship the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. The children came up with lots of examples of worship including singing, music, prayer, giving, and serving others. All of the children enjoyed making music with the handheld tambourines we crafted during service! Each tambourine has the verse of the week on it to help with Scripture memorization. We concluded our service by making music as we sung along to Victory by Hillsong and dismissed in prayer.
