Oddjobs Adventure Walk: Hi Ryan, My name is Harmony and I - TopicsExpress

Oddjobs Adventure Walk: Hi Ryan, My name is Harmony and I work for Canine Adventure. Im writing to tell you about a fun walk I took today with my new friend Oddjob. Oddjob is a brown and white pit bull mix. I chose him today because his head is so big! As soon as I saw him in his kennel I just had to wrap my arms around his giant head. You can see his huge smile in some of the pictures I took. Oddjob was excited to get out and go for a ride with me and he jumped right in my backseat. He was a gentleman, staying put in the back, sniffing around the seats and out the windows. We drove down to the North Bank Trail for our walk today. When we arrived, Oddjob jumped out of the car immediately. He was ready to go, go, go! We hiked up and down all the trail with him sniffing every inch of it along the way. He was ecstatic about hiking and he practically pulled me up the big hills. Our end destination was Texas Beach. As we made it down to the beach, we passed another dog that Oddjob seemed very interested in meeting. The two stared at each other as her owner pulled her away down the trail. Once on the beach, the cutest thing happened. Oddjob got what a friend of mine calls The Zoomies. He shot off, running to the end of his leash in one direction, then turning and whizzing by again in the other. This guy was incredible. He was whipping back and forth past me, into the water, jumping, spinning, tearing through the sand, and repeating it all again. Luckily I caught a little glimpse of it on digital film so you can see just how happy he was in that moment. This was the best part of our walk as I could tell he enjoyed it so much. After he tired himself out and got all wet, he got a treat and we began walking back. He was interested in sniffing the few people we passed along the way. At the car he got a good toweling off and he gladly jumped back in and laid down for the ride back. Oddjob is the sweetest giant I have gotten to walk so far. I hope he will find his forever family soon, they wont be disappointed! Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to hang out by the river today! Oddjob is available with Richmond Animal Care and Control. If youre interested in sponsoring an Adventure Walk for a rescued dog, please visit canineadventure.net/store/sponsored-walk
