My grouse is not whether the solution will prevent or not, it is the mythic dimension that has been added to it and I believed that this is what gave it potency. Wake up in the middle of the night!!!!!. The government and indeed everyone has been shouting...MAINTAIN PERSONAL HYGIENE!!!! WASH UP REGULARLY WITH SOAP AND WATER!!!! this simple but effective message did not get transmitted simply for that reason...TOO SIMPLE AND ORDINARY. If a mythic dimension had been added to it..for example...put soap in water while chanting some religious incantations and then wake up and stand naked facing east to wash your hands fist and so on.....and ending with the message that it was revealed to a man of God, I am sure that majority will have been doing that since the Liberian brought Ebola to our shores. Why do we ignore facts and follow fallacies? This is the reason why impostors continue to rule us. They understand our mentality and tap into it. Ebola is real. Ebola is around. Ebola can spread. But also Ebola can be defeated....not by being superstitious but by being factual and following proven preventive measures. Spread the facts not the fallacies!!!! Maintain clean personal hygiene.
