Officer involved shooting in Canon City. New information into our newsroom. Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at a local police supply store on east Main Street. The suspect had fled. An officer saw a subject matching the description in the area of south Raynolds and Ute Ave. Were told an altercation happened in which the suspect stabbed the officer in the upper arm. The officer then shot the suspect in the torso. Both the officer and suspect were transported to St. Thomas Moore Hospital for treatment. The suspect was transferred by helicopter to a hospital in Colorado Springs.
