Officers investigating a report of attempted robbery on Rank Road in Dundonald on 16th December are appealing for witnesses. A man walking in the area was attacked by two men and attempt made to steal his phone around 8.30pm. The victim sustained a number of facial injuries. One of the would-be robbers is believed to have been wearing a dark hooded top and blue jeans, the other was wearing navy tracksuit bottoms and top, both with yellow markings. Both are described as ‘in their 30s’. Anyone who was in the area or who can assist the police investigation in anyway is asked to call 101.
