Recently Buzzfeed ran one of those reductive quizzes asking How Posh Are You? All the questions really asked was, How Rich Are You? – a very different thing. These are the questions they *should* have asked: 1) Were you privately educated? 2) Did you go to either Oxbridge or St Andrews University? 3) Will you inherit money or property? 4) Did your father or grandfather serve in a Guards regiment? 5) Do you have an oil portrait of an ancestor on your wall? 6) Do you wear your jumper tied loosely around your neck? 7) Do you have more than one middle name? 8) Is your surname double-barrelled? 9) Do you read the Daily Telegraph? 10) Are you a Tory bastard? 11) Are you somewhere remotely in line to the throne? 12) Do you winter in Gstaad? 13) Do you summer in Mustique? 14) Do you regard corduroy trousers and pale yellow cashmere jumpers as chic? 15) Does your accent resemble that of Brian Sewells? 16) Were you buggered at school?
