.Officers make Arrests in Major Drug Trafficking Organization. Suspects bringing Meth into Idaho from California. Abramson, 33, Boise Arrested: Douglas R. Langley, 29, Boise Arrested: Devin Ponte, 27, Boise Arrested: Robert Leavell, 47, Boise All Charged: Trafficking a Controlled Substance – Meth (F) Since December 31, Boise Police have arrested seven people believed to be connected a major drug trafficking organization. During the course of the investigation, officers have seized more than six pounds of methamphetamine brought into Idaho from Southern California. Officers say two of the suspects, Celilio Alba Ponce and Daniel Dominiguez would drive the meth into Idaho from Southern California. Suspects Allen, Abramson, Langley, Ponte and Leavell are accused of distributing the meth once it arrived here. When officers arrested Ponce and Dominiguez Wednesday, they were in possession of approximately five pounds of methamphetamine found in their vehicle. Officers say during the course of the nine-month investigation, they became aware of up to 50 pounds of meth brought into Idaho connected to the above suspects. “We believe this group is responsible for a good percentage of the methamphetamine coming into the Boise area,” said Lt. P.D. Burch of the Boise Police Narcotics Unit. “This drug creates addiction and crime and takes a huge toll on families and this community. This investigation was a cooperative effort and aimed at those bringing this drug into our state.” The investigation, led by the Boise Police BANDIT Narcotics Unit, began with a lead developed during a separate investigation. Boise Police were assisted by investigators with the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Meridian and Nampa Police.
