Official Lilly Status Update: It was a whirlwind hospital trip on Tuesday and took a couple of days to fully grasp everything we heard. After flying to Seattle, seeing the immunologist, the hepatologist, and having blood drawn, here is what we know: Lilly is not getting better. Her status has changed from sub-acute to chronic. She has high T cell and IL2 counts, but no other markers that indicate an autoimmune problem. While more tests are run we will start Lilly on lose dose steroids and a T-cell inhibitor (she will be very prone to getting sick so we will be cautious with play dates and school for a while. Sorry in advance!). The hepatologist also thinks her spleen is starting to scar. SO.... essentially she is on medications that may or may not work as she continues to not get better.
