Officially a member of the UFC! Im not going to talk shit about this because the obvious problems of hes old hes never fought before he doesnt deserve that spot on the roster ect. Those are all facts but I personally love the freak shows of MMA and cant wait for his debut! Hes not just some washed up pro wrestler who is doing this for a quick pay day. CM Punk is a legit martial artist. Hes been a white belt under Rener Gracie since 2012 and refused a belt promotion because his schedule with WWE didnt allow him to train as frequently as he wanted to and felt the belt promotion wasnt deserved. He also has a background in Kempo to accompany his ground game. The guy has always wanted to compete in MMA and with the name and brand he has created for himself competing on amateur shows at this point arent an option. He is going to draw Brock Lesnar numbers on PPV and merchandise so the UFC saw the $$$$ With him and signed him. I personally would have liked to have seen him compete on The Ultimate Fighter first and develop his skills while drawing insane TV ratings like they did with Kimbo Slice. Either way Im excited to see what Punk can do inside the cage and I will definitely be watching! WAR PUNK!
