Oglethorpe Fresh Heritage Day, March 29, 10-4 - Join us as we launch our 5th year Farmers Market in Lexington, GA. Our farmers, Master Gardeners, Oglethorpe Bee Club, Oglethorpe Fresh Historic Tours, Oglethorpe County 4-H Children Activities, Oglethorpe County Friends of the Library, Historic Oglethorpe County, Inc. Books and more will be set up at Oglethorpe Fresh Heritage Co-op, 111 South Platt Street, Saturday, March 29, 10-4. Come out and help us celebrate this very significant milestone. It will be a great day in Lexington, other shops are joining in the fun with activities, plan to have lunch, spend the day, visit Goodness Grows, take a walking or carriage tour, swap ideas, seeds, plants and buy seasonal produce and plants from our growers, live music and lots of giveaways - - - oh and we are sponsoring a 4-H member Essay Contest – What does Heritage Mean to You? Winners will be announced on March 29 at Noon. Prizes are scholarships towards 4-H Camp cost this year. Check with Marcus Eason, Oglethorpe County 4-H Extension Agent for details on how to participate. Tis the Oglethorpe Fresh Farmers Market Season and we are kicking it off right.
