This is exactly what happened to me and in about the same place too February 1982 Parsley Fern Gully, Snowdon, North Wales. Like a scary vertical trip down memory lane for me, literally. No panic, no drama at the time, just the thought Shit - this is it. Like this guy I managed to get some grip with my right crampon on some ice that just slowed me down enough to eventually come to a stop. No real injuries, just bruised a lot - and scared. My climbing helmet saved me from more serious injury without a doubt. I think thats the closest Ive ever come to meeting whoever it is you meet. Me and my climbing partner AG made it down ok unaided.
