Oh according to the BBC news, Labour are urging all their MPs (the North Britain ones ) to come North and save us from ourselves. Whilst Tory MPs are being instructed to stay away. Now the Tories only have one MP in Scotland so that should be no problem for them. Labour ,however, seem to think that asking their MPs who voted along with the Tories on capping welfare, who support plans to renew Trident and consistently use Tory rhetoric ( Ms Lamont, Why should Scotland be the only something for nothing society, remember that gem?) can stem the tide of the YES vote. This is the party who carped on about the Bedroom Tax but could not put aside their hatred of the SNP aside to actually help people affected. This is the party that decries Tory privatization of the NHS in England and Wales but claims those campaigning for a YES vote to ensure no NHS privatization in Scotland are lying. Heres a wee suggestion for Labour, why not come clean and admit there is no difference between your party and the Tories? Why not listen to the genuine concerns of the people of Scotland over the above mentioned issues? Why not desist from lying to the people of Scotland over new powers? Then again independence offers Scottish voters the opportunity to recreate a real Scottish Labour party, one whose purpose for existence would be to ensure social democracy in our nation. Do the right thing listen to those in Labour for Independence and reclaim the soul of your party. Alternatively face oblivion and allow those who still care about the ideals Keir Hardie and others fought for to create a truly social democratic Scottish Labour party.
