After posting a few videos from tonight, I thought I would share something that makes me a super proud mom tonight: Allie had tickets to the One Direction concert bought specially for her by my aunt way back before Christmas. Shortly after, she tried out and made the junior high cheer team. She had her heart set and fingers crossed that the week of the concert would be a bye week but it wasnt. From the beginning, she told her coaches she planned to go to the concert and would miss the game. She was prepared to take demerits to be able to go! Well, as the season progressed, she had a change of heart and made to decision to sell her tickets so she could be at the game with her team. She made a commitment to her team and stuck by her commitment even though these tickets were A BIG DEAL to her. Not only did she attend the game, she did it with a smile on her face without thinking twice about it. No attitude, no sadness, no regret! I am so proud of her. Her demonstration of commitment and dedication to her team has really made me realize just how much shes maturing and growing up (way too quickly). ((PS--what a reward for her to watch her team remain undefeated and secure their place in the playoffs!!))
