Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. IM A HOME WRECKER!!! Remember my little Crimson Finch dude? Well, heres the latest. Went a whole week without seeing him so yesterday morn I decided it might be a good time to pull the two nests out, after checking that there were no eggs. Come lunch time, bugger me, not only did he turn up but he brought in the missus!!!! Now, with only about 4 wks to go, thought it would be best to still take the nests down before the little egglywinks were laid. Feeling terrible all day today about the thought of this task, got home this arvo, bit the bullet and took the light ball down then dragged the two nests out. Hung the light ball on the back of one of my outdoor chairs and low and behold...5 mins later...ole mate & his wife flew straight in to where the light ball WAS hanging. They then sat on the pool fence and old bird cage and confused, gave me a look, then the light ball a look, sat there a few more seconds then went & sat on a palm leaf to contemplate the nex t step...all the while checking this evil humanoid out!!! I feel absolutely horrible and cruel.The only bonus was that the egglywinks havent been laid yet. ( otos)
