Oh how times haves changed. This morning I got an audio voicemail from Burlington Twp HS saying my daughter was absent from school. Im glad they didnt have this when I went to school, OMG! In 11th grade I skipped school for a month, I forged a letter signed by father, (Sonny Leopold loves this story) and telling Mr Scanlon, (RIP) that I missed a month of school because my Mom had a heart attack, and I got away with it till I got suspended the next day. My Mom called the school and Dr Maretti asked my Mom how she was after her heart attack. My Mom almost had a heart attack right then and there! She didnt say a word, if she let on, my ass would have been kicked out of Edison schools! I can laugh now. Needless to say Mom whipped my ass with the Wiffle ball bat. Im glad I grew up when we did!
