Oh look, another instant classic from 1970 featuring Dominique Sanda that, at the time, only added to the never ending buzz, and, more importantly, all of a sudden well established legend surrounding her celebrated cinematic career. In other words, not bad for a, more or less, 20-year-old with, as it seemed at the time, an altogether unlimited potential for even more soon to be well established big screen superstardom. And, although most of her inevitable future success would ultimately remain primarily localized as something of a European driven movie experience, still, when it came time for her to otherwise decidedly establish her unmistakable on-screen presence and underlining every which way allure, it was via the worldwide acceptance and new and improved obsessions related to both this and "The Conformist" that ultimately (as in, then, now & forever) clinched the deal.
