Oh my God, I love this. You can see some special relationships unfolding that otherwise would never have happened, which is the true value of being able to speak another language. I was fortunate enough to study in Paris, but have forgotten most of my French. Some people think that defeats the point of studying abroad. However, its the relationships that I formed there, and the way they impacted how I viewed the world and myself in the world, that was the true education. And while this project is most definitely enriching for the individuals involved, I cant help but imagine the impact this sort of thing could have globally. Forming personal connections between citizens of other countries may just be the step we need toward a more peaceful and tolerant planet.
