Oh my goodness people! Should we all stop taking showers, washing our cars, should we stop watering plants or bathing our kids in the bathtub all in the name of perserving water???!! The purpose of the ALS challange was to raise fund and awareness of the disease. The reason why they chose ice water was because this disease attacks the nerve cells, and when you pour a bucket of ice water over your head, you feel for a split moment that same paralyzing sensation that these people with this horrible disease have to live with on a daily basis. Its not about throwing away water or getting attention on social media. Come on people! Dont be so hypocritical.
