Oh my, yall. Just went into Remys room because she was SOBBING in her bed an hour after I tucked her in. I mean, SOBBING. Tears pouring, couldnt catch her breath. Me: Whats wrong, honey?? (thinking something is terribly, terribly off) R: I just want Gavin and Sydney and Caleb and Ben and me to stay in this family forever and I DONT EVER WANT TO GET OLDER! I am going to move out and go to college one day and MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME! I WONT BE WITH MY FAMILY!! IT WILL BE TERRIBLE! ME: (giggling because oh my gosh, the cuteness) Oh sweetie, we will always have each other! Even when were older! You can live right next door! R: BUT GAVIN IS GOING TO COLLEGE NEXT YEAR AND I WONT SEE HIM FOR FOUR WHOLE YEARS!!! And I am going to college in ten years and EVERYTHING IS RUINED! (sobbing hysterically) Me: (still giggling because it is the sweetest thing and also not the trauma I thought I was walking in on) Lovey, when youre older, you guys will turn into aunts and uncles and husbands and wives and Ill be a grandma and it will still be so much fun! R: IM NOT GOING TO HAVE MY BIRTHDAY AND TURN 9!! MY WHOLE PILLOW IS WET WITH TEARS! Well, ladies and gents, if you know Remy, then not having a birthday is about as extreme as it gets. Weve been counting down until her birthday since September. Bless. Yall pray for her since she is having an existential crisis. I cannot imagine where she gets this dramatic overemoting from. Love that girl.
