Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come - TopicsExpress

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence Isaiah chapter 64 verse 1 Throughout the history of the Christian Church there have been times when faith in Christ has stood very low. A general indifference and deadness has reigned instead of Christ living and reigning as enthroned on hearts. However, dark and apostate the Church may have been the heavenly Husbandman had not forgotten the vine of His Son and the need for branches through whom the life of Christ can flow. “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.” (John 15:1) There is a blessed hope when we know that God has made His own promises. Who other than Christ said “I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18) When there is divine responsibility then the Church will continue to be built. Satan has done his utmost to destroy the Church. Even now he has his workers in the church no matter what name or denomination this may go under. He is out to undermine the work of God by causing apostacy and bringing the world into the church. God calls for his Church to be separated unto Himself in an individual living life-union with Himself of the living priesthood of believers. O God in these days of deep spiritual darkness and deadness bring about a true heaven- sent revival. Revival is God rending the heavens and coming down. Only He can turn the hearts of precious souls to repentance and faith. Only God by His grace can radically change the spiritual, moral and social climate of any community. May God in His mercy lay upon the hearts of those who are His throughout His remnant Church to call upon Him “to rend the heavens” (Isaiah 64:1) and come again in His own reviving power so that He will be all in all.
