Oh they can convince their selves of this, years after when they are living in a dust bowl, when they have to buy bottled water to cook and drink. When they and their children have cancer, bleeding insides, and the animals have all died, and the fish have all gone. You see its not about us, or how they think they honored the treaty, its about protecting the waterways, and the environment. All we have thought about was protecting the future generation of our children. You see the only 30-- TO 50% OF Gas fracturing fluid IS RECOVERED, the rest of the toxic fluid is left in the ground as is, not biodegradable. The waste fluid is left in open pits to evaporate releasing harmful VOCS ( volatile organic compounds) into the atmosphere, creating contaminated air, and acid rain. So bringing to the publics attention about treaties is another of Harpers way of deflecting the issues. And taking the Publics eye off of the 1000 thousand documented cases of water contamination in areas of gas drilling as well as cases of sensory respiratory, and neurological damage due to ingested contaminated water. So the only one gaining from this is the Big Industries that Harper is sponsoring. In the end hydraulic fracking produces approximately 300,000 barrels of natural gas a day, but at the price of numerous environmental, safty, and hazards. So Harper making a scrape goat out of First Nations and trying to white wash your hand in wreaking the environment and poisoning the air. So as much as Harper is trying to and continually using every means necessary to lay blame at First Nations feet, the more he opens peoples eyes to his lies. Isnt it enough we never seen a cent from the agreement that the Crown made with First Nations when an agreement was made between First Nations and the crown about the resources being shared 60% to the crown and 40% to First Nations, But back then First Nations had no need for money, so the crown put it in trust for them. We still would not be in need except that they decided to take the Indian from us and put us in Residential school. Just think there was no such thing as pollution, or contaminated water back then.
