Oh well too late for getting TO work (thank you Patti Colliton)....but......for the rest of you, maybe there is hope!!! Today is National Walk to Work Day: Plan your day now so you can get in a few extra steps. Plan to leave your car in park in honor of the 10th anniversary of National Walk to Work Day. If you can’t walk all the way to your workplace, park a little further away and cover at least part of your commute on foot. Walking just 30 extra minutes a day — we aim for 10,000 steps every day — will help you lose weight, boost your mood, improve your sleep, reduce your risk of heart disease and cancer, and keep your bones and your brain healthy! To get the most benefit with the least risk, gradually increase your steps to that 10K. If walking to work isn’t in the cards for you, turn April 4th into your very own National Walk to Lunch Day! Pick a spot that’s at least 15 minutes away so you’ll walk for 30 minutes during lunch. ~The Cleveland Clinic
