Oil PSUs to Contribute Rs. 12.00 Crore Towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Flood Relief Work in Uttarakhand The Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dr. M. Veerappa Moily chaired a meeting here today on 25.06.2013 of senior Officers of the Ministry and CEOs of Oil Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), in which it was decided that Oil Sector would make a significant contribution towards the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by recent floods in the State of Uttarakhand. Accordingly, it was decided that Oil PSUs together would make a contribution of Rs.12.00 crores towards Chief Minister Relief Fund. The break up of contribution is as follows: GAIL (India) Ltd.(Rs.2.00 crores). Indian Oil Corpn. Ltd.(Rs.2.00 crores), Bharat Petroleum Corpn. Ltd.(Rs.2.00 crores), Oil Industry Devevelopment Board (Rs.2.00 crores), Oil & Natural Gas Corpn. Ltd.(Rs.2.00 crores), Hindustan Petroleum Corpn. Ltd. (Rs.1.00 crore), Engineers India Ltd.(Rs.0.60 crores) and Oil India Ltd.(Rs.0.40 crores). ONGC & OIL have already contributed their contribution towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized that Oil Sector PSUs should make their utmost efforts not only towards maintaining supplies of the fuels in these areas, but also carry out relief and rehabilitation work on top most priority. In line with this, the PSUs would also undertake rehabilitation work in terms of adoption of villages and rebuilding the affected infrastructure in the State of Uttarakhand. The PSUs would also carry out monument rehabilitation work in consultation with Archeological Survey of India and the Government of Uttarakhand. The meeting was attended by Shri Vivek Rae, Secretary, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Rajiv Kumar, Addl. Secretary (P&NG), Shri S.C. Khuntia, AS&FA (P&NG), Shri P. Kalyanasundaram, Jt.Secretary (P&NG). Amongst the CEOs present in the meeting include Sh. R.S. Butola, Chairman, IOC, Sh. R.K. Singh, CMD, BPCL, Sh. B.C. Tripathi, CMD, GAIL (India) Ltd., Shri S.K. Srivastava, CMD, OIL, Sh. A.K. Purwaha, CMD, EIL, Sh. K.S. Jamestin, Director (HR), ONGC and Sh. P.K. Joshi, Director (HR), HPCL.
