Oil from the Galveston Bay oil spill coming in at Mustang Island and North Padre Island,...unfortunately. I understand in the form of tar balls. They are quick to respond, and clean up occurring right away, according to the news. I have heard that the clean up was pretty thorough, due to the product floats well. Ill believe that when I see it months from now. Also, little tidbits of info. Royal Caribbean refunded their passengers on last weeks delayed departure 100% of their payment for the cruise, and 25% on a future cruise. I hear that Carnival did not, but not sure what their reimbursement was. This oil spill has caused call for analysis of how the ships and barges navigate on our coastal waters. One editorial says...wouldnt it be something if the airplanes in our skies, just yielded to each other, with no directed system. So, it sounds like structure is needed in our waterways. Duh! But, time will tell with that also.
