Ok! Big news: Im off on a new adventure Im ecstatic to announce that starting in mid-September I will be going on the road touring with Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn on their fall tour as what is probably best described as Assistant Tour Manager. Ill be working with them to handle general tour logistics, occasional stage managing (and banjo tuning...there will be lots of that to be done), and will be coordinating a charity program that Béla and Abby have begun which involves donating all merchandise sales to local charities in each city that they play in. If this fall tour goes well I will continue with them through next year. There is a long story on how this all came to be, but the basics are that I asked Abigail if there was any way I could be involved with what she does and just happened to ask at the right time. Theyll be releasing a new self-titled album in October. I havent heard it yet but I can imagine that its going to be stellar. Im beyond honored to have this opportunity to be a part of something so special, and to be able to work for two of my musical heroes.
