Ok HERE is the story on this beautiful dog. This dog was pulled from a euth list several months ago by us. The dog was adopted out 5 weeks ago to a family. The dog is microchipped as they all are to us. When the dog is adopted we inform the new owners to transfer ownership to them. This family apparently never did because in the last 5 weeks, we have received calls from 4 different citizens that found the dog and traced the chip back to us. The last time the man who found the dog was very upset and said the dog was running loose all the time and was going to get hurt. He brought the dog to us begging us not to give it back to the owner We followed the proper protocol and went to animal services, saw the lost report on the dog and called the owner. I told her how the dog was always running loose. She denied it. So I once again I VERY HESITANTLY gave the dog back to her. Three days later, THREE DAYS...I get a call from HCAS stating the dog is in their care. picked up running loose again. I went and retreived the dog from them because dogs get sick in shelters and I will never leave any dog that came from us in a shelter over the weekend. I know have written statements from 3 of the 4 people who picked up the dog over the past few weeks and once it was running in traffic. Its a pure miracle this small little pom was not killed. I do not intend on giving this dog back to the adoptors again. The safety of the dog is my concern. for us its about the dogs. Im sure the family will not be happy but at this point. I dont care. Hes available for adoption at ASAP. I have left a message for the previous owners and have gotten no response. ~ Mandy
