Ok, Harvey, we get your point. Now try to understand mine (ours). Home Depot indeed may do a lot to help Veterans. My point is that they DISCRIMINATE. You cant discriminate. A person who served is a veteran is a veteran is a veteran. How can you tell a person who just got home from Iraq that he is a lesser Veteran than another person just because of a phrase service connected. Whether retired, disabled, active or simply having served a tour - the person is still a Vet. Home Depot has taken it upon themselves to decide who gets honored and who doesnt and that is an unjust disservice. When you sign up you give your life. You go where you are needed - you do what you are told. Whether you end up staying in for life or have the misfortune to be injured - you are still a person making the sacrifice to serve our country. Home Depot does NOT have the right to discriminate. Its all or no one. If they want to limit certain items available for discount - fine. If they want to specify certain days - fine. If they want to put a monetary limit - fine. But do not say who is a Vet and who isnt. Thats my beef and the purpose of this page.
