Ok. Here is my final set of tips on overcomng binge eating. Think about why you are having the craving. If it is a true craving, like for sweets, a healthy alternative will satisfy the craving. If that not it, then are you bored, sad, frustrated, depressed, etc? If its one of these things, that unhealthy treat is not going to make the feeling go away, and you may feel worse once youre done. Try drinking some water. Sometimes we confuse hunger and thirst. Maybe a nice big glass of cold water with some lemon or other natural flavor will help. Do NOT skip meals. That is just setting yourself up for a binge, and make sure to get your protein. That helps keep you full longer. Lastly, if you do binge, dont beat yourself up over it. Move forward. Dont be overly restrictive. Do focus on making healthy choices. Dont punish yourself at the gym, track, etc. The overall goal is balance. That is what will allow you to maintain your weight loss for the long term.
