Heritage. This was the first Austin Rose I grew. So sweetly - TopicsExpress

Heritage. This was the first Austin Rose I grew. So sweetly fragrant and the beautiful flowers amazed me. Almost every year winter frost would kill canes all the way to the ground, but it would bounce back and be over 5 feet tall in the autumn. I know it has been surpassed by hardier and healthier Austin Roses since then. Gentle Hermione - just to mention one. I found this older picture while backing up my rose pictures. Back then we used film and had the pictures printed out. I remember late fall days coming home - and a strong rose fragrance would waft and greet me in my frontyard. I cherished those late fall flowers.
